Like last year, we'll be using a need-based pricing tier system instead of a time-based system to make our event more accessible. As always, your organizers REALLY appreciate if you buy your passes early (it helps us sleep so much better!).

Purchased passes are not refundable, but they are transferable to another dancer until September 5th, 2019.


All passes cover the full weekend, providing access to all main dances, late night dances, socials, and competitions. Please select the price according to your ability to support the blues community!

Pass Policies

North Star Blues maintains a no refund policy.

If you won your pass*, it cannot refunded or transferred to another dancer. It may be deferred for 1 year maximum.

If you purchased a pass, you may transfer it to another dancer up until 2 weeks before the event (September 5th, 2019).

If there is a natural disaster or a medical emergency, please contact the organizers at

*If you won your pass and cannot use it, you may choose to donate it to a scholarship pool for dancers in need.

A la carte tickets are available for purchase at the door at each event and may have limited availability based on capacity.

We love the tradition of taking other dancers into our homes and the sense of community it brings. We cannot guarantee housing for everyone who requests it but we'll do our best. Last year, we did have enough available spots to accommodate everyone. We'd like to prioritize providing housing to those who need it most, so if you can afford other arrangements please let us know in the registration form. Having a vehicle can also make it much easier to coordinate houses, so consider renting a car if you can. We have a lot of cat people in our scene. If you cannot be housed with a cat be aware that it may be trickier to find you a spot.

***As of 8/30/2019 we are unlikely to be able to accommodate more than 1-2 additional housing requests unless more hosts sign up. If you would like to be housed please register and fill out a housing form ASAP.***

Priority sign up for volunteer shifts will end on August 23rd. You may still request shifts after August 23rd, but such requests will be considered at a lower priority.
